As such, DHA is pleased to start revealing its development activity with an initial go-to-market in Bogota, Colombia. Colombia – the DHA launch market:
Data Horizon Americas (DHA or DHAmericas) is pleased to announce its first campus launch located in the Bogota Metropolitan Region, Colombia. The campus site is within a fully secured economic free zone named Zona Franca Occidente (ZFO) and is in excess of 50,000 m2 (12.4 acres), at more than double the size of any other contiguous plot within the same park that could be suitable for potential datacenter development. Upon full development, this DHA campus is positioned to support up to 55 MVA of total datacenter power and is ideally suited to support the customary scale, growth, and other long-term commitment needs of global hyperscale deployments. The DHA reference design for the campus site spans over 29,500 m2 (317,500 sf) with up to 6 buildings housing 12 independent critical infrastructure blocks with approximately 11,500 m2 (123,800 sf) of white space in total assuming a single-story building construction model, with flexibility to entertain multi-story customization among other attributes. The campus design will enable concurrent maintainability operations consistent with tier III industry standards, while allowing flexible diverse redundancy topology designs to support up to 40 MW of critical IT load capacity, including high-density deployments.
The DHA campus at ZFO is located in the Mosquera Municipality, which is about 30 minutes away from El Dorado International Airport serving the Bogota area. The campus is strategically located within a low latency range of 10-20 km from all major regional peering exchange points. The design and operational model will comply with all major datacenter certification requirements and best-practice datacenter market standards.
